What is Cloud and History? โ๏ธ๐
Before the last 20 years, there were no cloud platforms. We had to buy physical servers from different regions to deploy an application and set up their networks. Even if we needed only 1GB of RAM, we had to buy servers with 100GB of RAM. This wasted a lot of RAM and increased maintenance costs. Managing physical servers was also difficult. AWS solved this problem by introducing cloud services, letting users get the servers they need and pay only for what they use.
Public vs Private Cloud ๐๐
Private cloud means buying physical servers and running our applications on them without using cloud providers. On the other hand, Public cloud means getting servers from cloud providers.
Why is the public cloud so popular? ๐
Lower cost compared to private cloud.
The public cloud reduces major headaches for users, such as maintaining servers, checking connections, and configuring networks, as cloud providers handle all of this.
Why is AWS better than others? ๐
AWS is the first cloud provider in the industry, giving it a first-mover advantage.
AWS has the majority of the market share and offers more services. So, many companies prefer AWS over other cloud providers.
